This is my husbands gt. grandfather. Does anyone know any further back than this as I can't find the Carew's anywhere on census records. I can't trace their children either except Franklin.

I'm rather stumped too trying to find William on censuses ... only person who seems to fit birth year wise is in Tenby, Pembrokeshire (Wales).

Sorry, only just revisited this site as I had lost my original information. I can tell you my side of the 'Ellis' family from this time on. I did start to do a family tree before I moved to Sweden in 2008. I'll have a look to see if I can find anything. My grandmother was Minnie Marina Carew.
