The Leo Dennan I knew was a journalist on the Wanganui Chronicle when I began as a cub reporter in 1964. He had a builtup boot and pronounced limp. His great ambition was to write books. I moved to the Bay of Plenty in 1969 and we lost contact. I was sad to see his headstone here when I Googled his name. Is this the Leo I once knew? Can someone tell me the titles of his books and whether they are in print? My email address is soystickylabels@hotmail.com

Leo is my uncle. My mum is Patricia Price (nee Dennan). I would love to know how to get hold of the books too. Yes Glen, this is very much likely to be the same Leo you once knew.

Leo Joseph Dennan was my father, whom I never knew. His mother was Lillian Maud (nee Neven) and father was also Leo. I don't think this is the same Leo but a relative. I would love to hear from anyone who could add to my knowledge, as I have done no research for years.

Good afternoon, I am searching for any relatives of Madeline Dennan, who was the daughter of John James Dennan, surveyor of NZ, and married Charles Brett in Australia. In particular, we are trying to understand where Madeline's daughter Mary Christina lived her life. I believe that Leo in this post is related.

I was Leo’s second wife. We married on the 10th April 1982. We lived in High Wycombe but moved to St Just in Cornwall after he became too ill to continue working on a newspaper. He wrote some wonderful short stories, some of which were published in magazines. He died on the 11th December 1987. He was a man of courage and enthusiasm for life who genuinely cared about and was interested in other people.
