Grace posted Banns to marry with John Henry TRESISE on 17 October 1801. Given this inscription, it would appear the marriage may not have taken place and she died a spinster.

Presumable this is the grave for Grace Wallis Hosken ... who I see christened thus in Sancreed:
Grace Wallis HOSKING dau of Gabriel & Grace, 25th. February, 1832 Miner.
And in the Sancreed Banns:
19 Sep 1852
James Henry Tresise
Grace Wallis Hosken

Marriages Dec 1852
Hosken Grace Wallis Penzance 5c 587
Trezise James Henry Penzance 5c 587
Notice that the inscription doesn't put a surname for Grace for whatever reason. Just that she's the daughter of Gabriel & Grace Hosken.

Yes, I must have had a "blonde" moment with the date of posting of banns. 1852 is correct.
How embarrassment!!!!

My GGGrandfather was John Wallis Hosken (aka John Wallace), son of Grace Wallis and Gabriel Hosken of Cornwall. I think this must be his sister's grave.

This is most certainly the sister of John Wallis Hosken (aka John Wallace)
